When does the Kickstarter campaign start?
The planned start is March 3, 2027, with a $40,000 goal and a 30-day campaign. This is the campaign date, not a promised app release date.
Does the app work today?
The creator has tested the Android app on a real phone and reports that audio, video, location, the 12-hour timeline, background operation, permissions, trusted-contact access, external server access, notifications, and Spanish keyword recognition are working in his tests. This is creator testing, not independent certification across every device.
Is an iPhone version coming?
Yes, work on an iPhone version is underway. Android was the starting point. iOS privacy and background-execution limits may mean a different or more limited experience for some features. No iPhone release date or feature parity is promised.
Will contacts receive an alert right away?
TrustCircle sends a notification when an alert is triggered. Arrival depends on connectivity, delivery services, and the receiving phone’s settings. Contacts can review uploaded information they are authorized to access.
Is my information encrypted?
The current development build is not end-to-end encrypted; its server can read recordings, transcripts, and location. Encryption and security work are funding priorities and a requirement before public release. Final data access, storage, retention, and deletion policies will be explained before release.
What happens without a connection or power?
Your circle can only review information that was successfully uploaded and shared with them. New information may be unavailable after connectivity or power is lost. A last recorded location is not proof of a person’s current position.
Does TrustCircle call police or guarantee rescue?
No. People in your circle decide how to respond and contact emergency services directly. Recordings may be incomplete and location may be delayed or inaccurate. The commercial is a fictional example, not a guarantee.
What does the $5 Supporter reward include?
Campaign updates and an optional thank-you credit. It supports development and does not include a subscription, hardware, or app access. You can choose to support with a larger pledge without requiring additional product promises.
